He is referring to a very large and very heavy antenna. It weighs about 45# before you mount it to some kind of a platform and the chance it would fit in any compartment other than one of the bus conversion full pass-through bays is quite unlikely.
If your floating home moves even slightly from side to side, you will lose your HD. If you can put the antenna on a non-moving dock or shoreline you should be fine. Otherwise, I don't think even the Trav'ler would keep you happy. The Trav'ler does not track the satellites once it locks on like an in-motion dome would. That means once it's locked, if there is any movement at all your signal strength will likely drop substantially requiring you to start a new search again and again.
