I have Win10 and I use a cellular connection and I have it set to a "metered connection". The problem that remains is you don't get any notifications that updates are available and you can't use the Windows Update button to force them to start. So, you go to McDonald's and connect to their WiFi but there you sit not knowing if something is coming, if something is due or if you are going to disconnect before it finishes. You re-start you computer the next day and it shows installing updates. When did that happen?
