Every time I turned on my last laptop, it wanted to force install Windows 10. I would decline. Every time I went to shut down the computer, it wanted to force install Windows 10. This went on for about 2 weeks, when all of a sudden, the computer would not come up at all ... blue screen of death.
After several days of trying to it to work again, I finally did a complete system restore, back to factory install. And you guessed it, after getting the thing to work correct again, next day ... wanted to do the forced install. Nope!
Next time I turned it on .... blue screen of death again.
I did another factory install. Next day, blue screen of death.
I swear Microsoft installed stealth code to force the update or shut down the machine if the user refused to update to Windows 10. It's a conspiracy I tell you!
Well, I could not save the laptop without putting more money into a fix than the cost of a new laptop. So, considering the hard drive had been reformated about 6 times trying to fix this, I ended up just throwing out the laptop and was forced to get a new laptop. You guess it! It came with Windows 10.
Unbelievable though, I had to do a system restor on the new one also after the frist 24 hours. But after that, I've not had any more problems. It's now working nice. It's a conspiracy, I say, it's a conspiracy!
I have a whole stack of old laptops that have older operating systems on them, nothing wrong with the computer itself, just Microsoft forcing garbage that's toasted them. Conspiracy! yes it is!
