When I upped to windows 10....I searched online and found out how to stop auto updates.
And you choose not to share that with us here......WHY ??
How about a little initiative on your part?
Did you try simply doing a GOOGLE search on
"how to stop windows 10 update"
Well I guess asking for a little friendly help is too much for some people. Not sharing knowledge that you already have is just being a ______ (fill in the blank with a nasty adjective).
Do you send your kids to school.....or expect them to learn EVERYTHING from first hand experience ???
Sam,
Your post about stopping Win10 updates is nothing more than BS and you know it.
The supposed "fix" is to change the setting to WIRELESS, LIMITED AND METERED INTERNET.
That's right, the ONLY way to stop the forced updates is to use ONLY the wireless in a metered Internet configuration..
Plug in a wired Ethernet connection with Internet access and it is all over..
Worse yet several of recent forced updates will completely disable your wireless access (Coincidental? I think not, perhaps MS is WANTING to send folks that set it to metered connection a huge message to not turn off the updates?).
Simple answer to the Win10 update thing is NO, YOU CAN NOT TURN OFF FORCED UPDATES, FOREVER, PERIOD.
Even for businesses they are pretty much stuck even with Pro and Enterprise editions they can only DELAY the updates and even then it is on a few weeks to one month at best.
