Turning off automatic updates is.easy.
1. Windows key and I
2. Network and etc
3. Advanced options
4. Wifi set to metered.
One caveart. Check frequently for updates, at least once a week.
Then the next wireless you go to the updates are starting before you can set to metered. And the next and the next.
A laptop is portable using many wireless connections. There should be a setting to turn off all wireless updates not just the one your on.
Imagine last week when they sent the 3GB update if everyone in a shared WIFI location was running Win 10 and trying to all download at once.
Downloading big files on a shared WIFI is also very poor etiquette.
and Win 10 is very poor etiquette ... :E :B
