So you unchecked the box(es), and you still get a screen other than your desktop when you resume from sleep?
The login screen is more than just a place to put a password. It's also called the Welcome screen, or the "Hello" screen now.
It's been two decades since I used a computer that didn't require a password, so I'm a little rusty.
