WINDOWS 10 software compatibility issues?

Have you had problems after installation of older software? We purchased a new computer recently, and it worked fine for 12 days. Then it lost WI-FI connectivity. A Best Buy "Geek" tried to fix it, and computer died! We got our money back, but we're doing some research before buying another one.

I installed QUICKEN 2010,and wondered if that caused a problem. The program worked fine the one time I used it.
  • I've been running Win 10 for over a year now and haven't encountered any software that wouldn't install and run correctly. Of course some could exist but my experience has been very positive regarding software compatibility.
  • No, Quicken can't cause a failure with your WiFi adapter. My guess is that the motherboard was defective since the system eventually died. Which tends to happen very early on with new PC hardware. Once you get over the initial break in, it generally works fine until it dies of old age. Or, more likely from being out of date.
