Windows 10

Hello All,
Recently upgraded from 8.1 (2 days ago), and when I went log in this AM it has a blue screen with "Restarting" msg on it. Went on for about an hour and just powered it off thinking it might be hung. Came back to the same and won't go away.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dozer

    Thanks!

Yes, go to windows update and search the installed updates for the following: Security update for windows (KB 3035583) and uninstall it. You will have to do a restart but after that, go to windows update and look at the updates awaiting installation. You should find this one waiting to be updated. Do not do it but rather put it in the "hidden updates". You might also want to turn off automatic updates and set it to only ask you before updates are done. This worked for me on several pcs.
  • Update,
After trying 3 times to come up in to "Safe Mode" it finally came up normally.
Does "Safe Mode" even exist anymore?

    Thanks for the replies,

  • My first suggestion is to stay with it after you power it back ON.....to see what else, if anything, appears on the screen before the "restarting" message.

And I'm not sure that "upgrade" is the proper term for this change. :-(
  • Try unplugging it, leave it for a minute or so and then plug it back in and try a restart. Just the first thing to try of many.
