I waited until just recently to upgrade my Win 7 to Win 10 since Microsoft has a history of releasing buggy software out of the gate. I figured after 6 months they would have most of the bugs worked out.
I must say the conversion went very well and everything works without a hitch and I have a lot of older programs running that had no issues at all, so I say, go for it before the free period ends. Support for WIN 7 will end in a few years anyway.
