Windows 8 or 7. Which would you choose?

We just got a new laptop with Win 8. The first thing I did was to install Start8 from Stardock. This gives the machine a front end that looks just like win 7 including the start button. This way I end up with the new very stable release of Windows without havng to use ( and teach my DW) the new interface. I know several people who are using this front end. No problems at all after more than 6 months.
Win 8 is a very stable release that is very quick. I don't personally know of programs that did not move over to in 8.
