Windows 8 or 7. Which would you choose?

I've had Win 8 on my new laptop for about 6-8 months now. Don't get me started on how much I dislike it. Why it was standard on a non-touch screen machine is beyond my comprehension. And the process to shut it down is just plain idiotic.
MS has finally found a way to force me into the Mac Book camp. Apple here I come !
As far as Camaros go, which would YOU rather have - a '69 302 4-speed Z28 or a 2014 ? New is not always better.
And for the record, I've been using computers since they came out. 8 hours a day at work as well as additional time at home for leisure. I like them.
