Windows Defender & VPN combo

I run Windows Defender as my antivirus together with a VPN (Tunnel Bear). Since I've been running both, my scans with Malwarebytes and Defender turn up nothing at all. I used to run Norton Security, without a VPN. Using that setup, Malwarebytes would usually catch a few things, such as PUP's. Now the last several scans turn up nothing at all. Either I hit upon a good combo, or it's just coincidence. Whatever the case, I'm pleased with the results.
