If you are wanting HD quality tv with the HR44, then you'd be better off with the new Winegard Traveler that eliminates the need for the swm8 addition. The new Winegard Traveler (check out their site) is about $1,800 retail but will work great. Locks on automatically and quick and stores with the push of a button. I have the older 'multi-switch' 3005 Traveler and am installed the SWM8 and larger power inserter so I can use the HR44 and all of the attributes of recording up to 5 shows at the same time and the HUGE hard drive capabilities.
