Assuming the antenna works, it will work fine with DTV but not with Dish Network due to changes by Dish.
So, you can get DTV SD programming but not HD (ever with a dome). The on/off switch for the dome will be a simple toggle switch, likely with a green switch which may light up if the bulb is not burnt out.
If you have an HR24 or earlier DTV DVR it should work. You will not need the B-Band converters if you are using those at home now and you will need to find 2 coax cable runs (which only one may currently exist) from the antenna as you need 2 coax inputs from a dome to make the DVR work.
You will also need to change the Repeat Satellite Setup routine and make sure you are set for an 18" round antenna and Multiswitch.
