Winegard SK-3005 No Signal

I got the Winegard Travler DirecTV dish. It seemed to work good the few times I had used it. It always took about 5 minutes to lock on and peak the signal. The last time I used it was in Fla. in April. So this past weekend I try to use it in an open field in Pa. After at least 20 minutes of searching I parked it. I started it up again and it took at least another 20 minutes to peak the signal but did work.
Do anyone have any ideas why it would now take so long? Could it be where it was used last?

Thanx
  • Poor design. Seriously without a meter to check things you are sort of dead. But i would first suspect the LNB or a loose coax connection. Just went through a similar situation with my SK-3005. Was at the dealers for nearly two weeks while they tried nearly everything I had already tried. Short of sending it to Winegard or you know a lot about satellite systems and have the proper test equipment your out of luck.
Since your in PA maybe a trip to Winegard in IA is in order.
