I have been kind of waiting for Winegard to come up with an SL3 model. If everything is working well for you it may be time to pull the trigger.
In most cases you want the receiver disconnected until the SWM dish has a signal. You power a SWM system much like a computer network.
LNB, multiswitch (if not integral to LNB), receiver in that order.
