Winegard Slimline DirecTv Dish Extended Warranty

Hi,
We are having a Winegard Slimline DirecTv Dish installed in our 5th Wheel and I am wondering what have been peoples experiences; should we get the extended warranty, etc?

I believe that in general, speaking of any extended warranty for any product, you will find that the cost/benefit will likely be hard to justify. The factory warranty covers the first 2 years for parts (1 year labor) so you be looking at year 3 and beyond. If you can get one cheap enough it could be worthwhile but sometimes they cost as much as 25-40% the cost of a new unit.
It's just an insurance policy and the issuers are betting you will never use it.
What he said. Generally not worth it.
