Winegard Wifi Extender

Question

We're researching options for wifi connection on the road and my wife stumbled upon the Winegard Connect 4G1 wifi extender. Has anyone used this unit? It's not cheap but we're thinking of cancelling crappy home wifi and using this unit for a couple years, home and camping, before going full time in fiver in 3yr. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

wifi "extender"  means it uses the campgound wifiunless there is some subscription service with it, that i have not read abouti would not cancel anything YET

$20 for 1 gig of data$35 for 3 gig$80 for 10 gigThe first is ridiculousThe rest are in line with what cell phone carriers used to charge for dataBut cheaper plans are available from your cell companyMight be ok If you can buy data when need for travel and not have to have a monthly contract
