The western arc is viewable in all but the very northeast corner of the US, although at a lower elevation than the eastern arc as you move east. Being limited to the western arc will cut down on your aiming opportunities on treed sites, etc. In the areas you indicate, you should be ok in most locations, but likely not all. Having both eastern and western arc capability for our manually aimed 1000.4 dish, we have never been on a site in any of over a hundred parks yet where we couldn't get satellite signal. It did take most of the 200' of coax we carry a few times though. Your X1 likely won't work well that far out.
