I checked out my antenna and there is a stop that can be cut off. This stop is opposite the two ears that the arms stow into. If I cut off this stop, I'll have to make sure to remember which direction to turn the antenna so I don't twist off the coax!!! With my memory what it is, this could be a major problem.
The dead zone usually isn't a problem, but it happens more often then I would like.
