An advantage of the Bluetooth headset is that I can also use it with my phone, tablet, or laptop. My MPOW headset recharges from a standard micro-USB charger or USB port.
Just about any of the headphones listed in this thread could also be used with phone, tablet or laptop as well, anything with a headphone jack.
I'd consider the fact that the headphones need to be plugged in to be charged as a distinct disadvantage. I especially like the way the Sennheiser headphones I have charge simply by hanging them on their stand, no wires to attach/detach. - Clay_LExplorer

I recently got a pair of these for using with the TV: Sennheiser RS 120 Headphones. Very happy with them.
Me too. Have used them for years. They hold up well. :) - Dutch_12078Explorer II

Using the existing Bluetooth service, I don't have to plug anything in to the phone, tablet, or laptop, or even the Bluetooth equipped TV or sat box. My headphones only need recharging every few days of use, and there's no special charging stand required that they have to be returned to. Think "portability"...
