wireless rechargers

We use them on a Galaxy S6 and S7. They both have covers on them and we never take them off. I have a few of the OEM samsung chargers and a few aftermarket ones. Both of these phones support the fast charge method when they are plugged in directly but my QI chargers do not support that. Samsung does have a fast charge QI charger now as well but I have no idea on the cost of them. I like the idea because it does save the port from plugging/unplugging all the time and really could not be more convenient then laying them down on the charging pad

Samsung S5 with Incipio case and it charges on my Qi charger just fine. It is slower charge than the usb port but it is really convenient. Wouldn't live without it.

I bought the Incipio case because it will fit the S5 when you add the induction charging back.

I have an Otterbox Defender on both my Samsung Note 5 and Galaxy S4. They both wireless charge just fine in the cases.

I've used a similar insert the OP is asking about on my Samsung Galaxy S3. It worked great.

Charging bases seem to vary. I have a couple of LG WCP300's. My wife wanted no beeping. Some bases beep for verification of charge. The light is yellow for standby, blinking green for charge in progress. Never had a problem with the LG bases. I still have them in use around the house. I upgraded my primary wireless chargers because of the Galaxy S7. It's capable of high speed wireless charging.

The S5 and S7 both have the red light on front of phone while charging, green notification light when fully charged. I don't recall if the S3 had notification lights. My S3's are now hard lined for power. They are now used as security cameras.

For the S4 with the damaged power input, check Ifixit. It might be possible to swap out the input. I did this on one of the S3's. Which is why I converted to wireless QI charging. My charge ports now maintain a new/unused appearance.

I've been using a QI (btw, it's pronounced "chee" in case you didn't know) charger for several years now. First with my LG G2 and now with my Samsung S7 phone. Works fine with a case but there is a limit as to how thick of a case will work.

When I place my phone on the charger correctly, a notification sound is emitted that tells me it's started charging, no need to see the indicator light which is underneath and not easy to see.

I've got a wireless charger built into my new Tacoma. Only problem is I have a iPhone that doesn't support wireless charging.

Chris thanks for the info. I will be checking this out. I would like to use a wireless charger. Maybe I was misinformed.

Don't know about Samsung. Mine is a Droid Maxx, my kid has a Droid turbo and my wife has a turbo 2. All of them in otterbox cases and will charge on our Droid chargers.
