I like to search you tube for videos that interest me. I am using a tablet computer connecting through a wireless router. When I click the you tube icon, I get connected and can scan for videos that interest me,but the video won't play. A little circle just goes around and around and then a message say connection lost. I can connect to YouTube through Chrome, but the video plays for a few seconds and pauses, then resumes and pauses again. Help,I am getting frustrated.

Which tablet? Which OS? Have you installed all of the available updates?

RCA tablet. Don't know which operating system. I have tried powering off the tablet and pressing reset. Nothing helps. My original post and this one were done on the tablet, so internet works OK.

Sounds like a slow internet connection like 2oldman posted.If you are using an RV Park WiFi system for internet access some of these system will block or "throttle back" any video streaming or other high bandwidth use requests.

I agree with too slow of bandwidth. The circle going around usually means the device is buffering - trying to get enough of the video pulled in to play it. Take your device to a Starbucks or McDonalds and see if you have the same problem there - their WiFi is usually pretty decent.Bill

RCA, that is the problem. Get a tech brand name like Asus if you want to watch youtube videos.

just turn it off wait 2 min
turn it back on

Thanks for all the replies. This has been working just fine but suddenly will not play. I am at my home and you tube works just fine on my old PC running XP.

Contrary to your statement. Internet access is not the same as adequate internet bandwidth to play a video. Like others have said, it is probably low bandwidth or port blocking. Does the laptop play videos at home?

Your unit is buffering the movie due to slow internet connection speed.
