As Rock said go to a parking lot. When you get there pull into a spot and get out and see if he is centered up. Put some item on the ground and try different ways of turning around it. Picture that item as being a steel post in a gas station.
He is going to feel like the trailer is too wide and it will hit things. Its going to freak him out especially if you get in any narrow lanes that might have construction barriers. You wont have to experience it all on one day as you shouldn't have to stop for gas or anything. If you do stop or need a gas station, as you are cruising along help him check out the gas station or other area as you approach it. Some gas stations have very little turning space. Go to the end pumps or look for a big station.
If unsure, pass them by as you can always turn around somewhere. Watch very closely as you maneuver through areas so that you dont drag the sides of the TT on steel posts or hit curbs with the tires. Look at areas with the intention of having big turning radius. When you get to the parking lot have him get out and walk away from your rig and look down both sides to get a good feel of how much the TT sticks out. Go to larger parking areas and walk over to the restaurants or whatever. If anyone is blowing their horn or in a hurry ignore them. You will be fine, have the gas tank full, allow lots of time for the parking lot, hang out in the parking lot and relax before taking off.
