Concentrate on payload over tow capacity. You can't add stuff like air bags to an under-sized 1/2 ton to make it haul more. Not sure how you came up with hitch weight - you typically calculate it using the gross weight of the TT. People usually say 12 - 15 percent. So if the gross weight is 7000, 13% is 910.
