A lot of people with motorhomes end up pulling a toad so that eliminates the advantage of not towing/unhooking something. Having a big trailer means having a big truck and that means more cost, but in total it's less cost than a comparable motorhome plus toad; I estimate it's about 70 percent the cost of a motorhome plus toad if the equipment is comparable size, age, and quality. I also like the fact that I can sell the trailer and truck separately. And I like the fact that I can lease a new truck - there isn't a significant market for leasing travel trailers or motorhomes long term.
