A/C Veris A/C Heatpump

Looking at new Forest River Cottage unit A/C heat pump is a option trying to decide it it is worth the additional cost

  • The other nice thing about the heat pump option is the heat pump is ducted and its output is distributed through out the coach. A similiar sized space heater is more localized.

If I have the chance to do it again I will opt for the heat pump. Why not use electricity you are likely already paying for as opposed to more expensive propane.
  • We have had a heat pump on our last two trailers and would not be without one. It is quieter than furnace and puts out a good heat. Ours will work down to about 38 degrees and then it switches automatically to furnace. Once heat comes up the next day it will switch automatically back to heat pump. Works flawlessly.
  • As the other poster said, it's a personal decision. Heat pump electricity versus propane for furnace. Don't know which is more economical. We have a heat pump and like it but we are headed to Reno for the winter and ours won't work under 30 degrees, which is fine because it's noisier than the furnace running at night.
