I have a few local bands as friends because I shoot concerts. A local band with a very talented vocalist/guitarist did Kickstarter to find a recording gig in Memphis. They not only raised $10k which was their goal just through social media but by the ending date added a few thousand more. You do need to promise goodies. For my $50, I get a free digital download of the album (features a few well known national musicians in the credits). I could have also received a shirt but opted to save him the money. I can always get one in trade for fotos. Try it. Dreams do come true.
