Lots of good info here but I didn't see anyone mention a multimeter. So often there are posts about electrical problems that could be easily solved if the OP had a multimeter. You don't need a Fluke (a high end expensive meter), a $5-$10 meter from eBay, Amazon or Harbor Freight will work fine for general RV work. So, buy a multimeter and learn how to use it.
