A friend of mine who owns a new pop-up recently reported to me that he averaged 19 mpg at 55 - 65 mph on a 2000 mile trip pulling with a Hyundai Santa Fe.
People who recommend tent camping to people in Florida during the summer need to try it for themselves. I don't tent camp until October.
The AC will drown out most CG noise.
I agree that you should buy the biggest vehicle possible for when you want to upgrade. Check with your HOA to see if they allow temp driveway parking for loading/unloading.
Get familiar with other TV capacities like payload. The hitch receiver will be rated for a certain weight. Just because some vehicle has a 5000 lb tow capacity does not mean that it can actually tow a TT of that weight. Payload will be exceeded before tow capacity is reached.
Good luck.
