Having been in your exact situation many years ago but since then also having traveled and camped tens of thousands of miles and hundreds of nights, starting in popups, then a hybrid, then travel trailers, and having to upgrade vehicles along the way I'd make the same recommendations many others would also make >>> Cut to the chase and get yourself a 1/2 ton tow vehicle capable of towing a mid size family travel trailer with bunk beds. Don't let storage restrictions at home force you into a combination of trailer & tow vehicle that you'll soon tire of as you realize the limitations and inevitably upgrade to where you could go right now. Guaranteed. :W
