In the Tampa area, RV parking is generally around $100/mo. I'm not sure where in Central FL you are; that may or not be valid where you are.
A TT will absolutely NOT fit in a standard garage; not even close. However, you get a lot of room inside to work with. That being said, if you are considering a TT, I'd run the TT and tow vehicle by the folks here who can help you ensure that its a safe combination. Don't listen to an RV dealer on this. After all, if you wreck it, he can sell you a new one! My RV dealer literally told me that I could tow a 26' TT with a simple ball hitch on my inadequate Jeep. That could have gone VERY wrong, very quickly.
When you contemplate a pop up versus a TT, think about what happens if rain keeps you all stuck in the TT for a few hours. Will there be enough room to co-exist? Do you plan on having more children? A pop up can get very small VERY quickly when you consider this.
Hope to run into you and your family at FW or elsewhere... We are currently doing a Park and Leave at Tropical Palms nearby.

Actually, one TT will fit in the average garage: a Safari Alto Condo.
Not inexpensive but very innovative in use of space and design; also keeps it's resale value well for several years. Here is a mod a current owner made to facilitate entry:
Route 88 Alto
As for how and where to spend your time when the weather is bad I see many RV owners of various types with screen rooms.
Have fun out there with what ever you choose!
and Trailmanor and HiLo TTs could fit in a garage.
HiLos aren't made anymore but Trailmanors are.
