It's not likely people ever carry the title to their vehicle.
Perhaps we're mincing words here over "title" and "registration" but here in Canada proof of vehicle registration and insurance must be kept in the vehicle at all times, available for presentation anytime a police officer may request it, which will be anytime one is pulled over, for whatever reason. Several times on crossing the border into the US I've been asked if the truck I'm driving and the trailer I'm towing are mine and yes, I've been required to show proof of this fact. You're right though, it doesn't matter what anyone of us here on the forum may say as it will be the OP who has to deal with this if ever queried. My point is - perhaps he's comfortable tooting around his own state without this proof but it sure strikes me as trouble he doesn't need to be doing the same in another country where the laws of that country and province apply, not his own. Why this should be so difficult to understand is a mystery. :S
