There are a a few places in San Diego it self that are still worth going to, one is the Strand between Imperial Beach and Coronado, also the. kOA in Chula Vista, Bernardo Shores closed in August of this year and further South there is La Pacifica, do not even think of going there it has been converted into a trashy trailer park, drug dealers, gang members, a lot off theft, no management at all.
There are a number of places around San Diego, State and County parks that have RV camping Agua Caliente is a hot springs place, only open during the winter months, there are a couple of RV places on the road to Julian, one I believe is State and the other is private, then you have Borrego Springs, and along highway 94 there are a few.
