concerning cat "odor" I had to remove the bottom 1 1/2 ft of wallboard in my dining room and use a grinder to remove the top layer of plywood along the walls, then painted all the wood with a a bunch of coats of Killz, and then let everything air out for a year or two. every time the humidity got up, more stink.
years back at the Newmar dealer in Elkhart (Stars?) I saw a a beautiful unit that smoker's used and they of course had tried all of the commercial products along with the "magic" remedies everybody talks about and nothing would eliminate it without completely stripping the inside of everything porous. had custom computer desk/etc. cabinetry manufactured by local amish craftsmen, would have made a good/cheap purchase if you could stand the stink.
