Thank you for posting the information on the sequence of events. I appreciate that, and I think there is some good information in there for everyone. Keep an eye out for anyone pacing you, and disengage as soon as you as you can (slow down or take an exit are both excellent ideas).
On the Extended Stay places in Vegas, keep your eyes open there too. It used to be that those places were frequented by business travelers on extended assignments. Now they are mostly people that just got evicted from their last place - most likely for good cause - and now don't have anywhere else to go.
We used a place like that for 3 nights while our trailer was at the dealership to fix a leak in a slideout under warranty. Never again. Never again.
