We also change our fuel tank as soon as we purchase a new truck, leaving the bed free. That way, we can drive all day and not have to worry about stopping for fuel. When we arrive at a campground, we disconnect and fuel up. Our large fuel tank was very handy in Alaska this past summer where open fuel stations can be far apart.
