Also, if your alarm is going off & there is no gas odor, be aware that hair spray & some other sprays will set it off. I thank my Grand Daughter for proving that. ;)
Remember, since CFC (freon) was outlawed, many spray cans use propane for the propellant! When you use a spray can of any kind in your RV, you are actually spraying propane into the air. The propane in the can probably does not have any odorant (mercaptan) in it. Especially if it is air freshener or deodorant!
That's why many spray cans make excellent flame throwers.
Seems to me the propane alarm should go off, and shut off the propane (if so equipped) long before the fuel/air mixture becomes explosive. IMO, it would be pretty useless otherwise!
