Yup, I've seen a few old ones like that.
RV absorption cooling uints (What the Fridge is properly called) do take forever to cool down, and they are energy hogs as well. Just so you know.
Go to your breaker box, One of them should be labeled CONV or CONVERTER, another is labeled MAIN.
Turn all off.. Then turn on MAIN, then CONV see if the gnnny overloads.
If you have 12 volt terminals/jacks on the Genny.. Forget those. ONLY connect the `120 volt to the RV.
Finally.. Some converters can suck a whole lot of power for a very short time, way beyond their rating... Kind of like motors. (only the reason is different).. What make and model converter, and what make and model power panel do you have?
