Which I found to be a joke this past year. I found myself to be the only rig, be it commercial tractor/trailer, or RV'er, who seemed to drive 55 in CA.
The 55 mph rule is not strictly enforced in Calif, and a CHP buddy of mine says he never looks for RVs going over 55 unless they are really speeding and not going with the flow of traffic. My experience in the last 10 years is 63-65 mph is fine so long as you're going with the flow of traffic. It's one of those things that's on the books and they can write you if they want. Having said that, they WILL crack down on truckers from time to time if it's an area where safety has been a problem.
