I have seen a LOT of fake security cameras and honestly, I can spot a fake one with my eyes closed. I think you would be better off contacting a local security camera contractor and see if he has any old broken REAL cameras that you can purchase. I have no idea the best way for you to install it but at the very least when you find out the proper way to install you will at least look like you have something.
