Best way to winterize yet still use unit in winter?

We do what the Son of Norway does but five gallons of water are too heavy for mw. We keep refilling one gallon jugs of water for me.
If we are at a campground with hot running water we fill jugs of water with hot so we do not have to heat water when needed.
