We had the ladder bike rack you show in the link. We didn't have any issues with the bikes hitting the rear wall but we did have issues getting both bikes on the mounts. the horizontal bar should be a couple of inches longer. It would be perfect for kids bikes but adult bikes can be a challenge getting them mounted. It's possible but takes some trial and error. Once mounted, we used short bungee cords to prevent the wheels from spinning and used a couple of larger bungees to make sure the bikes were really secure to the ladder. Keep in mind the bikes will get scratched as will the ladder over time.
