Brian,
I can tell you.
As Veebyes said, the transition is almost bumpless. I am a lifelong waterman and pathological sailor. Home when I was young was a 13 ton ketch that cruised the east coast. We have had a number of racing/cursing sloops, and a few different RVs along the way.
Most of life is very much the same. Our current 23' classic coach has much more usable space below than did the 27' (2 ton) cruiseable racing sloop we had (and trailered and used as a travel trailer -too).
The thing we soon found was that we had to have two of everything or else it was always where is the ?????
It is on/in the sloop/coach.
The biggest differences is the fuel cost and speed of travel. Under sail, a 50 mile day is long, but zero fuel. In the RV, 50 miles could be the first fuel stop of the day.
Navigation is still a big issue, but running aground, not so much.
