dear jmccen58- yeah, there is always a smart aleck out there, isn't there?! And I'm thinking that several responders don't really understand boondocking. We often spend several weeks off the grid and yes, water can be a hassle. In some areas there are vending machines that dispense purified water. We always carry a 7 gallon water jug at a minimum and use that to top off our tank in the rig. Some of our friends carry much more than that. We also buy or bring several 1 gallon jugs to use for fresh drinking and cooking water. Many business' will allow you to fill your jugs if you ask and you are doing business with them. I have seen other serious boondockers carry 30 or 40 gallons of fresh water in a drum.
