Did it one time and will NEVER do it again.
If your just going to one spot it's not bad. If you park and move, park and move like us it flat out sucks.
I was in like 8 different national parks this summer and never had a problem getting a spot.
Things happen on the road. Blown tires or small problems that will throw you off your schedule. When that happens it can be a nightmare to get to the park you have a reservation at on time.
