It is NEVER a good idea to wire a new battery together with an older battery, especially one that been run dead a few times. Inevitably, the old battery will pull the new battery down to it's level. Either buy two or three new 12 volt batteries, or a pair of 6 volt golf cart batteries, but either way, ditch the old battery and DON'T try to use it as part of your battery bank.
