I get amused when hearing the complaints of northerners who weren't aware that North Florida can get so cold. Now South Florida, that's a different story. That's a very different place down there. Spanish speakers, orange groves, aligators, pythons, lots of bugs, hurricanes, blue beaches, tourists, high humidity, hot winters; we just don't have those things up here, or at least not in those quantities. I regard everything south of Cocoa to be an entirely different country. Up here, it's rednecks and Navy workers and pine trees and cows and short winters with a half dozen hard freezes per year. Basically, it's South Georgia.
