Check your toad registration!

I didn't see this topic mentioned before we took off to Alaska for several months. We forgot to check when our toad (a jeep) registration expired. Normally its not a problem, we can pay online and have our mail collector send us the tags. But our home state, Arizona, requires emission testing so we had to print out a form for a waiver, have it signed by police in Alaska and have someone back home take it in,
  • That's a good reminder.

Over time, I have compiled a list, with due dates, of all our bills which are not monthly. These include car registrations, various insurance payments, property taxes, various club memberships. I look at this list before every trip and take care of anything that will become due (or make a plan to deal with it while gone).
  • Our drivers licenses expire this winter while we will be in Florida so those too go on the list - Here In Minnesota all RV plates expire in February so those are always done before we leave

That can be an issue for me as well. though I do not have emmissions testing where I'm registered... (Some areas do) my birthday and thus the plate expiration are in the winter.. In fact, traditionally we have a blizzard that week... (or at least it seems we do) the deepest part of winter....

Michigan in deepest winter is not class A Friendly. (So I'm out of town).
