We had the truck and TT and now have a 26' Class C. I think cost wise it is hard to beat the truck and TT combo especially if you buy them a couple years old. You will get more bang for your buck. We went the MH route due to health issues. a MH is easier to set up and break down than the truck/trailer combo. Maintenance is also easier on me not having to maintain 2 units.  We did just pick up a toad but I haven't set it up yet. We missed the freedom a TV gave us when camping. Another thing to consider when doing cost comparison is that few TTs come with a generator where most all MHs do.
